When you think about your dream body – your most idealized physique – odds are there’s always a firm and sculpted stomach in that vision. Indeed, if you’re similar to most, a tight midsection often forms the centerpiece of a fantastic figure. From the widely coveted six-pack (or eight-pack if you’re feeling ambitious) to an elegantly contoured stomach, there’s no doubt about it – a sculpted midsection is sexy.
To reach the pinnacle of sculpted stomach achievement – the six-pack – takes enormous dedication; although, it’s easier for the few who are genetically gifted. Indeed, if the eyes are the windows to the soul, then the abs are the windows to your resolve. The reason: it requires not only consistent workouts, but an exceptionally clean diet most of the time.
In other words, it’s a lot of work to attain and then maintain – so much so, in fact, that many people are left wondering if it’s worth the effort at all.
Fortunately, to get your midsection to the point where it’s nicely contoured and looking sexy, is much easier. Sure, it may not have diamond-sharp edges which can cut through small trees (probably), but most of us are pretty content to look good without going to the near obsessive levels of dedication required to get those elusive ripped abs.
That said, getting your midsection to the point where you’re happy with it, is still going to take some hard work. If you want a sexy line that runs down the center of your midsection or along the sides – it’s going to take some dedication to clean eating and consistent workouts.
Remember: abs are 60% diet and 40% exercise. Diet is important, and so are the exercises you do – but it’s all just sit ups and crunches, and those can get seriously boring. Luckily, there are a shed-load of awesome abdominal exercises you can use to sculpt your very own sexy stomach, and we’ve rounded-up some of our favorites to help you do just that.
