This is probably one of the most common questions that people ask. The answer will depend on various factors:
- How often you are going to be working out
- What type of exercises you will be doing
- Whether you have exercised before or are a complete beginner
- How your body adapts to the exercises
- Your eating habits and if you will be changing them
Everyone is different, usually the changes will take longer than you expect so you need to be thinking in terms of weeks/months not days. Although you may start to notice small changes in a matter of days, this could be an increase in the the amount of time you can jog for, the amount of push-ups you can do (it might only be 1 more but that is still an improvement), maybe it is just in the feel of your legs, maybe you can feel that your leg muscles are starting to become firmer.
One thing is for certain, if you exercise and eat healthily and stick to it you will see the results. Many people give up after a few weeks because they are not seeing the changes they want, but if they kept going they would have started to see those changes maybe only a week later – they give up and then lose all the preparation work their body had done, don’t give up too early.
The harder you work at it and the longer you keep at it the easier it is to make changes to your body and the more you will be rewarded. Don’t give up!
