Positivity has the power to transform our life. It has an enormous impact on our overall well-being. It does wonders for our health, happiness and heart – body, mind and spirit. There are so many ways we can bring more positivity into our life. In fact, you have the power within you to create positivity, wherever, whenever. Everyone will benefit from higher energies. This is a practice not only for you but for the entire world too. “What the world needs now, is Love sweet Love.”

Gratitude Checklist
Practice gratitude first thing in the morning and before bed. For example: “I’m grateful that I have the weekends free, I’m grateful for the health of my pets, I’m grateful that I live in a sunny place, I’m grateful for the new friends that came into my life, I’m grateful for my Yoga practice, I’m grateful for my growth, I’m grateful for this breakfast, I’m grateful to sleep with a roof over my head and a comfortable bed under my body, etc.” List your blessings!

Thank You
Throughout your day thank God, life, the universe, yourself or whatever you feel comfortable with for everything you appreciate and love in life. Thank it also for the things you don’t love in life because those are also blessings (in disguise) that lead to more growth and understanding.

Daily Affirmations
Affirmations are an easy way to change our energies. To practice them, simply close your eyes and repeat your affirmation out loud. By repeating certain words or phrases you can shift your way of thinking from a pessimistic view to a positive one. Set a specific time each day, like in the shower or sitting quietly after lunch, to practice your affirmations. Choose one to two affirmations at a time and focus on those for a few weeks. If you are facing difficulties during your Yoga practice you can say, “My body is strong, flexible and balanced,” or if you’re feeling stressed you can repeat, “Life flows smoothly and perfectly.”

Vibrations
Surround yourself with people who give off good vibrations. These people inspire us, lift our spirits and warm our hearts. It can be someone who makes you laugh or someone who gives you insight. Simply spend time with anyone who makes you feel happy.

Visualization
Visualization uses the power of imagination to create a healthy and happy state of mind and life. You can use this tool for any situation in life that you don’t absolutely love. Close your eyes and completely envision what a different, positive scenario would be. What would it look like? What would it smell like? What would it feel like? Fill yourself with those thoughts and emotions instead. Also, by giving out those energies you may eventually get them back!

Live For Giving
The power of giving is beautiful and uplifting. Give without expecting anything in return and for no special reason other than the kindness and love of your own heart. When we give this way, we step out from the expectations of ego and mind, which makes us much happier beings.

Live Forgivingly
Let it go! Why would you want to carry around negative energies just to hold on to a grudge? Try sitting every day (I like to practice this before my Yoga session or meditation) and go over all of the hidden grudges from the past you may be keeping in your closet. Internally, tell that person or situation that you forgive them. Repeat this as many times as you need until you let it go. This will leave you feeling much more open, spacious and energized.

Music
Everyone knows how impactful music can be. It has the power to make us cry, to make us move, to make us sing along and the power to heal as well. Use music as your means of happy healing. Play uplifting songs (or mantras if you’re into that) and feel the positivity grow inside. In your daily life, try to avoid songs with a negative message or moody melody. Those will just bring you down. Surround yourself with songs that carry a glass-half-full message and love!

Dance it Out
We all build up tension, be it from stressful situations or repressed emotions. Eventually, we need to let it out. Put on your favorite upbeat music and dance it all out. Don’t worry about how you look and fully express your own dance. Release the Shakti (energy) inside and create more space for peace.

Laugh out Loud
If you haven’t already, try Laughter Yoga! You can also watch your favorite funny movie or go to a comedy show with a friend. Do anything at all that makes you laugh. Laughing is extremely powerful and has the ability to completely transform our moods. Make it a point to laugh more every day.

Get Out
Spend time in nature and get out of your head. Stop sitting on social media sites and comparing your life to others. Be with your self in solitude and enjoy the beauty of life all around you.

Smile!
The simplicity of a smile works wonders. Try it now! Even if it’s forced, everything instantly feels better. It’s always available, simple and enjoyable. And the great thing about smiles – they’re highly contagious. Smile at strangers passing by, especially those unfriendly, grumpy, gloomy-looking ones (they need it most) and you will create a ripple effect of positive energy. Even if only 1 out of 10 strangers smile back, you will lift their spirits and they will certainly pass your smile along to the strangers they encounter throughout their day. Like laughing, make it a point to smile much, much more every day.
Be a Positively Charged Person
Just like anything else, this practice of positivity become a habit (a very healthy habit!) Soon, it will be like second nature and there won’t be a need for any forceful practice. It will happen with ease – effortlessly. Replace any not-so-bright habits with this one and spread your love, sweet love, with the world.
